Kora's 2010 Visit

Well as you all know we only get to see Kora a couple of times a year. This year she came down with Katie and spent a little time with everyone. We were blessed enough to get to see her twice. Katie came to my house for the weekend, and we played so much it was unreal. I forget how hard and tiring it is to have a little kid. My kids loved it. They followed her around like she was going to break. They played, changed diapers, and helped feed her. She was spoiled rotten! We took her to the Barton Creek swimming pool, the water was SO cold I could not stay in but a min or two. She wanted to go in bad, but it was just to cold. The next weekend we went to Dallas while Katie was in a class and took Kora to the Zoo. She had a blast. Heck I had a blast! I posted some pics so you can see. It is amazing how she has grown over the year. She is such a good baby, always smiling and just happy. She calls me booboo and I love it!

Mothers Day 2010

I guess I am not at the point that I think mothers day is important for me. I still try hard to make sure my mom is happy and she knows she is loved. Now that our family is growing it sometimes gets hard to see everyone and show them how much you care. So this year we split up the days. On Friday we went to see my mom and went fishing in a little town called La Grange. It was fun even though very hot. We sat and at McDs at a picnic table and headed down to fish. We did not catch anything but still had a fun time watching the kids faces every time the water pushed their bob down. They always thought something was biting it. Mom got me a book that I could write down stuff about JaKobie, Says the life of my son. Though out the years I can document him and when he is grown I can go back and show him how and what funny things he did.

On Sunday we went to church with Clifton's Family and afterwards his mom wanted to go to the Round Rock express game. Good thing it was not hot there. The day was overcast and just perfect for being at the ball park. I enjoy spending time with his family. They are all so great and wonderful!

Hair trauma

Skyler came in to my room about 10 last night and stated she had a problem. I was already half asleep so had no idea what she was talking about. Since she was laughing I didn't think it was anything bad. I sat up and saw a comb stuck in her hair. NOW mind you that in my hair and the girls hair there are only certain brushes and combs you can use cause it is so thick things get stuck. And sky had to learn this the hard way.

After I tired for nearly 30 min. to get this untangled I decided it had to be cut out.

So now that the comb is not stuck in her hair she is all happy! BUT she forgets that now there is a piece of hair MUCH shorter then the rest! heheheheheh

JaKobie 7th Birthday

It is amazing when you look back over the years when your children have a birthday and see what all they have done or been thru. 7 years ago today JaKobie was born very early and had to fight to stay alive. After 2 months in the hospital we were able to go home. Then a little after he turned 1 he was back in the hospital fighting for his life again. RVS was trying to get the best of him. I have realized though that JaKobie is the strongest kid i know and continues to amaze me everyday! I thank God daily that my son is here and healthy!

Basketball 2010

Well I know it is over but at least I got it up before next year. The kids just finished Basketball this season. They had a great time.
The girls have gotten so tall that they tower over every person that they come in contact with. Some kids hated guarded them, others just laughed. I keep telling them it will come in handy! Chip off the old block! I love watching them play!

JaKobie is the same way. He quick as can be. Has done a great job learning defense and how to dribble.

Digitalsbyd

I think we have finally talked Denise in to taking her photo taking to a professional level. She has taken tons of pictures of my family and other family's and does a spectacular job. She has recently taken some photograph classes to sharpen up her skills and is now ready for real customers. Her blog is Digitalsbyd if you want to check her out. She has great prices and does a fantastic job!

ICE HOCKEY GAME

SO for Christmas we got Denise Hockey tickets. She has been waiting for this day to come. I am taking the kids with us so thoguht it would be extra fun! Now this is my first ever hockey game. I was a little worried how the kids would take it,but knew they would want to go. So, figured this would be ok. BUT little did we know and you can guess Denise didnt tell us they start off with a fight.

SO after JaKobie stopped crying and we convienced him it was all an act things got a little better. We had popcorn, and nachos, and yelled stuff we would never say again! JaKobie caught a T-shirt from the Chearleaders, so that was even more exciting!

Denise kissed at the Cam.

The girls had a great time!

THen last but not least!

Pretty Sure JaKobie wants to go back!

Feb. 6th Weekend

What a weekend! First mom and Ron came down to have Christmas, and see us. I know what your thinking. IT is February and we are just having Christmas. BUT yes that is what happens when people get busy and all go separate ways for holidays. Any who, while waiting on them I went to meet Lisa and see her kids for the first time. Now back in the day me and Lisa were pretty much always around each other. We did and went alot of places together. Over the years we kinda lost touch, but thanks to Facebook we are back in tough. HER KIDS ARE SO CUTE! they are just perfect little devils! Ethan started calling me miss Shelley off the bat, was just to perfect! Paige was so smart that I couldn't believe it. I cant want to be around them more. After seeing them we went home and mom got there. We stayed up until nearly 12 just talking and catching up. Was a great visit. The next day we had to show Ron how the DunMurphy's play basketball and then all got dress and were ready for Sat. night activities. Sunday Mornings all went to eat at brunch and sent mom and Ron off to a basketball game! IT was a GREAT weekend!
